Washington, D.C., the capital of Romanian film in November
The fourth edition of The Romanian Film Festival of Washington, D.C. (RFF 2023), our biggest cinematic event in North America, brings to the nation’s capital the most lauded recent productions of a cinema that has remained as vital and relevant as ever. Opening at Landmark E Street Cinema on November 2 with the riveting Freedom (Libertate) by helmer and Transylvania Film Festival founder Tudor Giurgiu, the selection, put together by film critic Mihai Fulger, includes drama, thrillers, and comedies made by some of the hottest Romanian film-makers of the moment. Don’t miss the Q&A sessions with directors Tudor Giurgiu and Andrei Tănase, and actor Niko Becker.
RFF 2023 is organized by the Embassy of Romania to the United States and the Romanian Cultural Institute in New York with the generous support of several sponsors from Romania.
